About

Quality assurance is one of the important pillars of the Arabian Gulf University’s (AGU) strategic plan, which aims to elevate the quality of education by enhancing all services at the university, obtaining academic programme accreditation, improving performance and rankings. Moreover, supporting a culture of quality and excellence for elevating organizational capacity, strengthening governance and decision-making. In its endeavours, the AGU accomplished institutional accreditation as well as programme accreditation for a number of its academic programs from various professional and international bodies, and the university is continuing its undertaking to meet its strategic goals of achieving programme accreditation for all its programs.

To meet its objectives and to ensure its quality of operations, the AGU established the Quality and Excellence Centre (QEC) at the intuitional level in 2013. The Centre administratively comes under the AGU President and works closely with various AGU Administrative and Academic Quality Assurance committees. The Centre monitors the implementation of the AGU’s quality assurance initiatives and policies in order to ensure quality outcomes that conform to international standards and frameworks.​

Recently, this electronic portal was launched by the QEC to facilitate the viewing of reports and survey results by teaching staff and senior management. It is worth noting that all surveys are implemented electronically, for ease of completion, conserving the environment and to support sustainability. Moreover, the centre prepares university ranking reports based on external ranking results published by various international organisations.
